We are excited to announce the second cohort of companies at Michelson Runway: APL nextED, Gooroo, MeasureOne, NameCoach, NexusEdge, Osmosis, Qualified.io, The Whether by Better Weekdays, and Year On.

The selected companies will receive equity investments and support through a four-month hybrid, virtual accelerator program designed to promote technological innovations in postsecondary education, workforce development, and lifelong learning.

“After the impressive run of the inaugural Michelson Runway cohort in 2016, we aimed to assemble the most promising startups to further the foundation’s mission of promoting educational access, efficacy, and equity through technological innovations,” said Dr. Gary K.Michelson, founder of the Michelson 20MM Foundation. “The entrepreneurs selected for Cohort 2 all demonstrate a strong passion for serving today’s diverse and at-risk students so that they thrive in the post-secondary space and the workforce.”

The Michelson 20MM Foundation will continue it’s partnership with Runway Incubator in downtown San Francisco where the accelerator participants will receive free desk space, feedback from leading visionaries, and access to world-class mentors and investors. Bisk Ventures will also return as a Michelson Runway partner in an effort to continue driving student success through the development of new technologies. Sponsoring the 2018 Cohort is Cooley LLP, the leading global EdTech law firm, who will provide key guidance for the second cohort of companies.

Congratulations to Cohort 2! We’re excited to partner with you to help ensure all students have access to an affordable, equitable, and high-quality education that leads to a meaningful career.
